  12. Ever since I upgraded to 3.0 from 2.1, I noticed a couple of things that
  13. seem to have worsened:
  14.     1. applications seem to take a lot longer to launch
  15.     2. my external harddisk seems to spin wildly a lot, often even
  16.        when I'm not running anything serious or typing at all.
  17. I have a NeXTStation with 20MB RAM, 660 MB external disk and 105 MB
  18. internal; my file systems are on the external, and the swap on  the
  19. internal.  With 20MB, I would expect none of the above 2 problems
  20. to show up..

  22. Any help will be appreciated...
  23. (Also, I vaguely remember seeing similar questions quite a while
  24. back, but at that time I didn't save the messages... could someone
  25. send me any discussion they saved?)
