- No. Simson & Michael did a nice job of simultaneously discussing a 2.x
- and a 3.0 environment, and I believe their supplied code works just fine
- under 2.x. I was expressing my personal opinion that, from a programmer's
- perspective, 3.0 offers so much more in terms of functionality than 2.x
- that if you want to do serious hacking, you need 3.0. I seem to be one
- of the few people that hasn't been bitten badly by bugs in the current
- release of 3.0 - it's been quite stable for the sorts of things I want
- to do. I'm also doing things that just weren't possible under 2.x (writing
- a lot of IB palettes which take advantage of all the public IB protocols,
- 3D Kit stuff, etc.).
-
- Hope that clears up any confusion I might have generated.
