- May I preface this post by saying I just wish one person from WordPerfect
- reads this!!!
-
- May I suggest some of the more talented NeXT programmers head to 1555
- North Technology Way in Utah and offer their services to WordPerfect
- Corporation free of charge for about a week to fix this app.
-
- We just purchased version 1.0.1 of WP and it sucks. Granted, v1.0.1 fixes
- the COMMAND-B, COMMAND-I bugs; but, If you ever plan on doing any serious
- word processing, don't purchase WP. And I don't consider what we are
- doing any serious word processing. Sorry students, I am afraid you will
- find it in the labs.
-
- Users need to be able to edit text easily! I would like the ease of use
- of WriteNow with character strike through and style management. I also
- don't want to see TimeMon go crazy when I run WP and select some text.
- And I don't want to see a spinning disk everytime I highlight some text
- and select bold. Do not use the INDENT function in WordPerfect and try to
- edit text. You will find some new ways of displaying postscript text on
- the megapixel display.
-
- Granted there is more functionality in WP, but the functionality is no
- good if you cannot use the program. Our office greatly depends on the
- capabilities of our word processors. And it makes me look bad when a user
- wants a CompuAdd portable computer running AmiPro in Windows 3.1 over
- his/her NeXTStation Turbo.
-
- Appsoft says there next release will support drag and drop styles,
- character strikethrough, and multiple file formats. Available in July.
