- G&M's book, combined with a 3.0 system and NeXT's printed versions of
- "NeXTSTEP Development Tools and Techniques: Release 3" and "NeXTSTEP
- General Reference: Release 3, Volume 1 & 2" is everything you need
- to leap feet first into real world, serious NeXT hacking. I wish I'd
- had this book two years ago when I started. The single nicest thing
- about the book is its emphasis on building a fulll blown application-it's not a
- series of demo programs strung together, but a clear, well thought
- (set of) application(s) that they're talking about building (and build).
-
- The only depressing thing about this book is the fact that it points out
- all the great books that should/could be written for the NeXT market.
- Let's hope the market continues to expand so books of equivalent caliber
- on other areas (like the two they talk about in the intro) will be
- written.
-
- Congrats to Simson and Michael for a job well done. It's been long in
- coming; I'm just happy it's here so I can recommend it.
