- Probably the mounting screws on the drive were the problem. These
- drives have copper foil sitting at +2v just inside the chassis,
- and if the mounting screws are just a tad too long, they short the
- chassis to the foil, and the drive doesn't work too well in this
- state. *Lousy* mechanical design! Other than that, the drive
- is pretty solid, if not all that fast by current high end drive
- standards.
