- Hi out there... I have a Mono 'Station that I'm looking to put a
- CD-ROM onto (I'm also adding RAM and a big hard disk, but that's
- pretty well-understood by now... though certainly still appreciated in
- some camps ;-). The CD-ROM is in preparation of a 3.0 upgrade (3.1?)
- at some point in the near future, so I hope 2.1 and 3.0 supports the
- same CD-ROM drives.
-
- I guess what I'm after is information on what CD-ROMs will work OK
- and which won't. I'm not looking for a miracle list of some sort...
- just some e-mail of success stories (and horror stories, although
- these are somewhat less interesting). Needless to say, if I get
- a whiff of more than one or two pieces of useful info, I'll post a
- summary. No point otherwise.
-
- Actually, a miracle list would be pretty nice...

- P.S.: On second thought... I had heard somewhere that the NeXT SCSI-II
- was not a true SCSI-II... what gives? The drive I am looking
- at right now is a 1.7GB Panther Maxtor, which is SCSI-II... and
- it would be nice to use it that way.
