  11. My boss has asked me to look into how the purchasing department at various companies in the
  12. computer industry is organized.  At our company, purchasing is a sub-department of manufacturing.
  13. That seems odd.  If anyone has the time and the interest to reply, please let me know
  14. how it is in your company.  Is purchasing part of accounting, operations, G&A, manufacturing,
  15. or its own division?  Does the structure work?
