- We have a 2G (unformatted) scsi disk that we want to format and use
- on a 4680. It's a Fujitsu 2652S-512, and I've formatted it for a Sun
- without problems (result is around 1.6G formatted). When I try to
- update the volume header for our 4680, it does work. On-line, I see
- the following error:
-
- # format

- and then format aborts. From the prom monitor, the format command
- lets me get a bit further. I specify dkip(1,1) in this program,
- and specify the disk as an "other", and provide all the normal
- information such as heads and sectors and so on. But when I write
- out the new volume header, nothing seems to be changed and the
- disk is still unsuable. I cannot format it either. Can anyone
- suggest what I'm doing wrong?
