  15. Another alternative, if you want to speed ejection of disks, is to use the
  16. keyboard commands. Under System 6, it's opt-cmd-E (hold the option key
  17. down after releasing cmd-E, or the icon won't vanish) and under System 7,
  18. it's cmd-Y. Both of these methods will remove the disk icon from the Desktop.
