  24. Thanks to Spencer Thomas for setting me on the right track.  There's a
  25. control panel item called "Launcher" in Sys 7.1P; it provides sort of an
  26. application icon dock.  I thought I had disabled Launcher (by killing the
  27. alias for it in Startup Items) but it turns out that it loads an INIT
  28. anyway, and this INIT re-creates the dreaded Documents folder at startup.
  29. If you take Launcher out of the System folder entirely, then you can trash
  30. the Documents folder and it will stay dead.  Everything seems to work as in
  31. regular Sys 7.1 now.

  33. Launcher could actually be a useful thing, although it doesn't seem to do
  34. anything you can't do with the Apple menu.  But this misfeature is enough
  35. to send it to the trash in my book.
