- After installing a Micron Xceed30 8-bit video card in my SE/30, my machine
- hangs at the "Welcome to Macintosh" screen at boot up.
-
- If I boot from a System 6.05 or 4.1 floppy, all is well. If I boot from a
- 7.1 floppy, or from a freshly Installed 71 on the HD, same hang.. I don't
- have 7.0.1 handy. Is 7.1 that bad with peripherals ?
-
- If I use the minidebugger during the hang, I get "bad F-line".
-
- I left it hung for a few hours and it didn't resume.
-
- Can the mere presence of a card in the PDS alter the boot procedure ? The
- Xceed card does not have any monitor connected at this time.
-
-
- (Just to further confuse the issue.... After I installed the card, the machine
- rebooted normally the first time from 7.1 on the HD. Then I added the card
- software and the problem started. I have since removed the cdev and no go)

- Thanks for the help,
-
