  11. Hi David.  I think the culprit is probably your system file.  Open up your
  12. system
  13. folder then your system suitcase.  There should be _no_ fonts in there.  If
  14. there are
  15. fonts in their remove them and install any needed ones in the fonts folder.

  17. There is a bug in the 7.1 installer script that causes it to leave all of the fonts
  18. in the system suitcase when this should not be the case in 7.1.  In addition a
  19. bit
  20. is changed in the resource fork that causes these unwanted fonts to be
  21. unpurgeable
  22. (ie if you have two copies of Times 24pt bold both will reside in memory)
  23.  
  24. Also check your memory control panel to be sure 32 bit mode is on.
