  18. There's an extension called badinit.hqx at sumex-aim.stanford.edu in the
  19. directory /info-mac/ex. Install it and just select 'Erase Disk...' from
  20. the finder. Then a dialogue box with three bottons 'Init,' 'Check,' and
  21. 'Cancel' shows up. Clicking on 'Check' will mark the bad blocks as used.
  22. This works pretty well on my PB170 running localized 7.0.1*.
