  20.      Well, first of all, go to the Mouse control panel and try adjusting the
  21. double-click speed there.  If this fails, it probably means that your
  22. parameter
  23. RAM is messed up somehow.  Try holding down Command-Option-P-R while powering
  24. up the machine, and keep them held down until the startup beep sounds a second
  25. time; this will reset the parameter RAM, and might well fix the problem
  26. (warning: it will also reset the settings in many other control panels; you'll
  27. have to go through and set them up properly again).  If that fails, do a full
  28. reinstall (trashing the old System Folder).
