  11. Can anyone provide advice on Postscript fonts?

  13. I have a IIci (system 7.0) with a TI MicroLaser printer with only 4 built-in
  14. fonts, and I'd like to add some "novelty" fonts (headlines, cursive, etc.).

  16. Someone has recommended against TrueType; he said they don't look as good
  17. as real postscript fonts on a postscript printer. The same person said to
  18. get ATM fonts since they'll look better on the screen, and he recommended
  19. "Fluent Laser Fonts" by Cassidy and Green.

  21. But I can't find that product anywhere in the Jan. '93 Mac User. I've
  22. spotted a competing product, "FontBank Postscript Display Typefaces"
  23. elsewhere. This includes *250* postscript fonts for $90!

  25. Is one of these packages better then the other? Anyone know where I can get
  26. "Fluent" if that's better? They both certainly seem better than the 
  27. mega-buck Adobe fonts. I don't need a particular font, I just want lots 
  28. of unique "niche" fonts to choose from for special occasions.

  30. (Sorry for being so ignorant of this issue...I've been using my trusty Mac
  31. Plus from early 1986 until this week, so I'm still using Times, Helvetica,
  32. and Courier with the original bit-mapped screen fonts...)
