- Can someone tell me what exactly the control panel monitor gamma
- adjustment on MACs does? I tried to turn it on and off, and restarted
- my computer, but didn't notice much (or any) change in the images I was
- displaying. I assume that the control panel setting should change
- image displays for all applications -- I'm using the picture command in
- Hypercard. Am I doing something wrong? What gamma value is being used
- when the gamma correction is turned on? I'm familiar with imaging
- packages that allow gamma correction values 1<=gamma<=2, where a
- setting of 1 is uncorrected, but there's no way to set the gamma value
- on the MAC control panel, so how does it know what value to use? Any
- help would be greatly appreciated!

- Please send replies by EMail. Thanks!
