  13. I know that byte range locking on files is possible on the Mac when using
  14. AppleShare. Is it possible to do it on a stand-alone Mac so that 2
  15. applications on the one Mac can read/write the same data file? Is there a
  16. high-level API for doing this? All I've been able to find are the control
  17. codes and arguments to be sent to the AFP driver, and I'd really rather
  18. not... :)
