  26. I used to search for AppleLink ID's from a LAN using QuickMail. I'm not
  27. sure if this was some special service provided by the QuickMail<->AppleLInk
  28. gateway, or if the mail was simply sent on to AppleLink. On the assumption
  29. that the latter is the case, let me pass on the following tidbit: Subject
  30. line 'UserID Search*' (with the asterisk, without the qoutes), content
  31. of the message was the search string.

  33. If this works from Internet, you should get a reply shortly afterwards with
  34. a list of all matching names and the ALink addresses.

  36. Oh, I almost forgot who to address the mail to. Unfortunately, I don't have
  37. access to aforementioned LAN right now, so I can't check that out.
