  12. We have an application which runs fine on all Macs except the SE30 and the
  13. IIcx. On these machines, the application generates either a bus fault or
  14. an illegal instruction fault right after it starts.

  16. In one case, we took the boot disk off a IIcx and dropped it in a IIci.
  17. Same System version, same INITs, same everything. The application worked
  18. on the IIci and crashed on the IIcx.

  20. Unfortunately I have no idea why it happens because most of the
  21. initialization code is in a 3rd-party library for which we don't have
  22. source and the company which produced it has departed this vale of tears.
  23. What I'd like to know is if there's anything special about these two
  24. machines that may cause trouble. The application doesn't use color, so it
  25. isn't Color Quickdraw.
