  18. This is not correct.  On the Mac I have at home, bought used, there is a 
  19. utility from a Hard drive vendor that allows you to spin down a drive.  It
  20. worked for all of the drives I've attached to the system none were from the
  21. same vendor as the utility.  So there is a SCSI command to spin down a HD.
  22. I do not know of any utility that does automaticly unless you can copy one
  23. from a powerbook.
