- This is not correct. On the Mac I have at home, bought used, there is a
- utility from a Hard drive vendor that allows you to spin down a drive. It
- worked for all of the drives I've attached to the system none were from the
- same vendor as the utility. So there is a SCSI command to spin down a HD.
- I do not know of any utility that does automaticly unless you can copy one
- from a powerbook.
