- I have a Mac LC (6-MB RAM) running System 7.1, a GCC QuickDraw printer,
- and all of Apple's TrueType fonts. (All of the fonts are in the Fonts
- folder.) I found that the Zapf Dingbats TrueType font was no longer
- recognized by any of my applications. I decided to throw the existing
- font file away and reinstall from my StyleWriter disk. But when I tried
- dragging Dingbats to the trash, I got a dialog box that said "An
- unexpected error occurred, because an error of type -39 occurred."
- Double-clicking on the Dingbats file to inspect the contents produces
- the same dialog. The bottom line is that the system will not let me
- move the Dingbats TrueType file out of the Fonts folder.
-
- I ran Norton Disk Doctor, and it reported that the Dingbats file could
- not be read and is probably damaged, and I should remove it from the disk
- if it's giving me trouble.
-
- Does anyone know how I can get rid of this file??
