  10. After a co-worker installed 7.1 and was appalled at the memory hogging going
  11. on in his 8mb IIsi, we're looking into buying tons o' memory.  My questions are:

  13.     1.  Can System 7.1 be set up to use less than the 5 megs that my
  14.     co-worker says it uses?
  15.  
  16.     2.  I have a IIci with 8 1mb SIMMS installed; can I purchase, for
  17.     example, 4 2mb SIMMS or 2 4mb SIMMS, remove the appropriate number
  18.     of 1mb SIMMS, and install the new memory?  In other words, can you
  19.     mix and match SIMMS quantities?

  21.     3.  Will the Mac still work if you have empty memory slots?
