- Are you sure the computer's not fried? Have you tried connecting the
- modem to the printer port instead of the modem port? What happens when
- you power up the modem without it connected to the computer at all? Does
- it then show an LED? Does it get WARM? Very warm? Are you sure you're not
- plugging it into the ADB port? ( <---Heh heh, just kidding :-)

- new or used? Did your friend get the name of the friend who gave it to
- him/her?
