  13. Does anyone know of an XCMD or some other programmatic way to set various
  14. Control Panel settings? I'm particularly interested in access to time and date
  15. (from the General Controls panel), the Disk Cache, VM, and 32-bit mode settings
  16. (from the Memory panel), and several of the settings on the "Portable" panel.

  18. Our application runs on a PowerBook 170 and will probably lose parameter RAM
  19. when the lithium battery runs down (we de-install the main battery for safety
  20. and storage reasons).

  22. Any hints, comments, or pointers to system calls that can help will be greatly
