-
- My Duo 210 also sufferred HD crashes in its factory configured state. It had
- to be sent *twice* to Apple repair before they finally found an HD that
- worked. On the first return from Apple repair, the Duo lasted all of ten
- minutes before the newly replaced HD developed extreme soft I/O errors that
- eventually shifted to permanent errors.
-
- It seems to me that the HDs are voltage sensitve, the problems on my Duo were
- worst when it was plugged in.
-
- Anyway, I'm on my third 80Mb HD, and it seems to be OK now.
-
- Good luck!
