- Well, I don't know. I think the prices for the 040 machines
- seems a little high. The Q800 8/230 for $4700? Is it worth it?
- Does the price come with monitor, Keyboards, and Mouse? Seriously
- folks 040 running at 33/MHZ is barely enough to run mathamatical
- intensive applications. I dunno, I guess I am a little dissappointed
- about they way Apple not care about people who like to use their
- machines for real scientific applications. For that amount of money, I
- can probably get a low end SUN sparc station or event a INTEL 586 bases
- machine, which will blow the Q machines to oblivions as far as Raw
- computational power is concerned. Oh Well, I'll put my credit card
- back into my wallet and wait.
-
- But the low end machines does sound reasonable though, I think
- for an average user, these machines may be more than adequate.
