  11. I've looked at the Apple flyers describing the new LaserWriters and
  12. I've got a couple of questions:

  14. 1)  The PRO 600 requires a "Photograde Upgrade Kit" to enable
  15. Photograde and Fineprint.  Is this just an additional 4MB of memory
  16. or is there more to it?
  17.  
  18. 2) The descriptions of both printers seem to imply that they have two
  19. modes: 600 dpi for text only with no photograde/fineprint or 300 dpi
  20. with photograde and fineprint (provided you have enough memory on the
  21. 600).  New versions of the LaserWriter drivers are included and they
  22. have radio buttons to select between the two.  Is that correct?  If
  23. so, how do photos look at 600dpi compared to 300dpi+photograde
  24. (assuming you're printing mostly text)?  How does 600dpi without
  25. fineprint compare to 300dpi+fineprint?
  26.  
  27. 3)  How do the LaserWriter PROs compare to the newly announced 600dpi
  28. HP 4M (correct model number?) printers?  Assuming they were priced
  29. similarly, which would you buy and why?
