- Here's Larry's books in a nutshell:
-
- Mac repair & Upgrade Secrets - Mac 128K, 512K, Plus, and some SE
- -Indispensable for owners of the pre-SE's and useful to the SE owner
-
- Macintosh Printer Secrets - Imagewriter I, II and LQ repairs. Good book, but
- not many people using these printers nowadays
-
- Macintosh II repair secrets - A good guide for the Apple 13" monitor settings.
- Not as necessary as the plus book to users.
-
- Dead Mac Scrolls - has one-page "tech notes" on all of the above computers
- and the Laserwriter. Contains information that was not known
- at the time of the above book's writings.
-
- Also, Larry has a few sections in the book "Dead Mac Scrolls"
-
- I've been trying to convince Larry that he write a quarterly newsletter so
- that a) he has editorial control (often publishers want to genericize his
- book so much that they insist he lop out technical information) b) he can
- get more timely information to the readers and c) he can write about the
- subjects which are important at the moment, rather than focusing his
- energies on a book's subject.
