- Well, I bough a performa 600CD and am quite pleased. This is my first
- mac, so I can make no comparisons. I thought briefly about the vx,
- but was swayed with the free software and decent sized disk (160mb).
- I was certainly lusting after the IIvx for the increased performance,
- but since I too am using it mostly for home use (ie: wife and
- soon-to-arrive kid) the deal seemed too good to pass up. For the
- record, I got the 600CD for $2399 and the performa plus display for
- $399. If you have little kids just learning to read, you (or
- actually, they) may be impressed with the Cindarella CD. And Claris
- works seems just fine for home use type stuff.
