- As is pointed out in another posting, the 3,000 pages between failure is
- not official. Knowing the fame of HP and seeing (and using) the StyleWriter,
- you may be right that the DW gives you better durability. On the other hand,
- if you expect to use your printer that much, a laserwriter will give you
- better mileage. Disregarding the cost of purchase, a laser printer is simply
- cheaper. Only the lower purchase cost justifies an ink jet printer and, in
- case of the SW, a smaller foor print and portability. When you leave the
- sheet feeder at home, the SW is really portable (not thin, though, due to
- the large foot).

- I have used my SW for about 3000 pages now, and have had no problems
- whatsoever. I have heard about problems with SW's that were used
- heavily.
