- This is only indirectly related to the main topic, but what about
- greyscale monitors whose images aren't square? I have one which I
- transported in the back seat of my car. When I plugged it in after the
- trip, there was some "warpage" at the top and bottom left edges of the
- screen. By this I mean if I draw a straight line in MacPaint with the
- window over in one corner, the straight line is kinda wavy.

- Greatly exaggerated, a rectangle on the screen looks like this:

- The actual deviation is perhaps 3mm or so.

- Is this also a gaussing problem? I tried degaussing it with a color TV
- degausser coil but it didn't change at all (no better, no worse).
