- Here's the prob: I have a Mac Classic II, 4 MB of RAM, 40 MB
- internal hard drive (Apple standard), and a SyQuest 88 MB
- external cartridge drive. I have a lot of INITS, including
- FWB's excellent HDT Prober(tm) version 1.2. I'm running
- System 7.0.1 (the earliest systm that will boot a Classic II),
- with TuneUp 1.1.1.
-
- Problem: my brightness gets reset every time I shut down, to
- about 50%. I usually keep it turned down to about 20% (of
- the slider in the Brightness CDEV--I haven't measured this! 8-})
- so I find this a bit annoying. Any suggestions?
-
- I've *not* tried disabling the INITs, simply because 1) I've got
- a lot of 'em, and 2)I didn't think INITs wrote to PRAM with
- any frequency...
-
- Let me know what you think--news or email, whichever. Note the
- "domainist" reply-to address in my .sig--this version of nn is
- old and brain-damaged, and besides, I have my mail .forwarded.
-
- Thanks in advance,
