- Hi all. I have a REALLY BIG problem...
-
- I have a 1988-vintage Imagewriter II which I picked up used 1 1/2 years
- ago. From "day two" it's had a bad habit of having the red plastic piece
- around the printhead's pins loosening up, and causing the ribbon to drag
- on the paper. This problem was "bearable".
-
- Now the plastic piece has decided to break in half, and it's come out of
- the head. My queston is this: I don't want to spend triple-digits to
- get a new head for my printer. What does one of these puppies cost?
-
- Any ideas as to whether there may be hope in "letting my fingers do the
- walking" through local repair shops? Anybody got a "brain-dead" IW II
- that they're scrapping???
-
- Thanks for any help.
- Den
