- Tim Myers recently asks about exporting to tab-separated text from FileMaker
- Pro.
-
- Actually, Tim, FileMaker Pro seems to export everything as it claims it
- will. The snag that you may be getting caught on, though, is that FileMaker
- will export a Vertical Tab (ASCII 11), for any returns within a field. So,
- if you have one field that may have several lines of information which you
- have manually added in carriage returns to, you will get these VT
- characters. The standard carriage return is used to signal the
- end-of-record marker.
-
- Good luck, and Happy FileMaking!
