  13. Tim Myers recently asks about exporting to tab-separated text from FileMaker
  14. Pro.

  16. Actually, Tim, FileMaker Pro seems to export everything as it claims it
  17. will.  The snag that you may be getting caught on, though, is that FileMaker
  18. will export a Vertical Tab (ASCII 11), for any returns within a field.  So,
  19. if you have one field that may have several lines of information which you
  20. have manually added in carriage returns to, you will get these VT
  21. characters.  The standard carriage return is used to signal the
  22. end-of-record marker.
