- About 2 years ago, when I first purchased my Mac, I tried Quicken and was
- very disappointed. The version I had was only a single checkbook
- register, nothing else. No capability for credit cards, investments,
- loans, or anything else unless you made a separate file. I then tried
- MYM and was very pleased.
-
- Based on my experience, I recommended MYM to my sister to use on her PC.
- BAD MOVE. She had sever problems, when I visited her, I tried to use it
- and found that it was very difficult to use. The problems were a more
- than just the interface (graphical vs text). She picked up a copy of
- Quicken and really liked it.
-
- Based on that experience, when my son-in-law needed a personal finance
- program for his PC, I picked up a copy of Quicken for him, helped set it
- up, and I was impressed.
-
- Based on my experience (which is limited and based on data that is more
- than 12 months old), I would suggest Quicken on a PC and MYM for the Mac.
