  14. I cannot speak for Quicken, but I have rolled over to a new year twice with
  15. MYM, and it is pretty simple, basically it walks you through the process and
  16. tells you what it doing, and allows you to alter what will happen when the new
  17. year is started.

  19. Basically, it will do the following:
  20.     1) remove all transactions from the previous year (except for unreconciled
  21.        transactions from the account you specify (generally checking accounts).
  22.     2) remove all "closed-positions" from your portfolios (any something else,
  23.        but I don't remember, since I do not have many portfolios).
  24.     3) Alter your budget values for the new year (in one os a couple of different
  25.        ways, e.g. as a percentage of the previous budget values).

  27. Everything else will remain intact.
