- Aldus FreeHand makes it easy to create this kind of diagram. When
- a selection includes a line segment, only the end(s) within the selection
- are considered part of the selection and only those endpoints move
- when you drag. For example, consider a box with an incoming arrow
- and two outgoing arrows. If you make a selection a bit larger than
- the box, it will encompass the nearest line segment ends, and dragging
- the box also repositions all the line ends. This solution certainly
- isn't perfect. You still have to fix overlaps or lines that end up
- on the wrong side of a box, but it saves a great deal of time over
- other approaches.
