- According to "The Dead Mac Scrolls," version 1.5 of Apple's HD SC setup will
- recognize and allow replacing of the SCSI driver when version 2 will not. This
- is confusing since the version of HD SC I have is #7... I would think it would
- be superior.
-
- However, version 7 gives the same dialogue box (that it can't find a suitable
- SCSI driver) as is mentioned about version 2 in "The Dead Mac Scrolls."
- According to the book, version 1.5 will supposedly recognize the disk in this
- instance and allow updating.
-
- I'm pretty sure it's only the SCSI driver since the disk spins, provides
- parameter data to, and allows a seek-time test by, the utility application
- "SCSI Evaluator".
-
- Any help will be greatly appreciated.
