- The New York Times Science Times had an article on this yesterday (5
- January 1993). They recommend Quicken if you want things quick and
- painless, and MYM if you view managing your finances as "serious fun".
-
- I just got MYM after using Quicken for a year, because I'd heard from
- several people that MYM is better. I think it's better for some
- stuff, but I'm disappointed so far in other respects where I think
- Quicken got it right. (E.g., reconciling a bank statement asks if it
- should add a finance charge and/or interest payment.) I haven't read
- through the manual much yet, though, and I've heard this is crucial.
- So I'll reserve judgment for now. I may stick with MYM or may switch
- back to Quicken.
