- I recently installed Excel 4.0 on my hard drive. I had a few
- Excel 3.0 files lying around, which I opened and saved in Excel 4.0
- format. So far, so good.
-
- When I got back to the desktop, I noticed that the Excel 4.0 files
- all had generic icons. No amount of rebooting, desktop rebuilding,
- using "SaveABNDL", or reinstalling Excel could convince thos
- stubborn files to display anything other than generic icons. The
- icons for all other Excel file types (3.0, SYLK, Charts, Macrosheets,
- etc) appear as they should. Oh, except for the Excel Help file,
- which also has a generic icon.
-
- Is this a problem with Excel 4.0, my desktop, or me? Any other
- suggestions? Anyone else have this problem?
-
- Thanks in advance.
