- Microsoft has two internal (confidential) documents covering the exact
- binary formats of Word 4 and Word 5 documents for the Macintosh. Of
- course, they won't give that away to anyone, but if you have a good
- reason (i.e. something that won't hurt Microsoft ;-)), then maybe you get
- it from them. (I have them, but obviously I can't give them to you.)
- My point is: just try Microsoft to convince you need these descriptions,
- and ask for the 'Microsoft Word 4.0 Binary File Format (Macintosh
- Version)' and 'Microsoft Word 5.0 Binary File Format (Macintosh
- Version)'. Chances are that you can use them under a company-wide
- disclosure.
