If it is a UNIX-type system, it might be posible to make it boot "single user" mode. Can you get it to come up in its boot monitor (without actually booting up UNOS)? If so, you might try adding "-s" after the UNOS boot string (i.e. boot <diskname>(0,0,0)vmunix -s). If this works, the system will come up in single user mode with the Bourne shell as root. From there you can mess with /ets/passwd (where the user ids live) all you like... Note: this will only work on the console port. One of the tty po
rt must be /dev/console (it will be the same one with the error messages when you powered it up after shuting it off).
If it is UNIX, you really should use the shutdown command (or at least run sync several times) before turning off the machine.
