- I'm going to be writing some large programs in 6809 assembly language and
- I need a good editor that runs on an IBM PC 486 under Windows 3.1. The
- feautures I'm looking for:
-
- 1. Speed (this is important for when I need to page around a lot - I
- guess this means a text-mode editor of some sort).
- 2. Flexible tab stops so I can have long label names (poreferably
- "smart" tabs like most dedicated assemblers have).
- 3. Ability to support a large screen (1024x768).
-
- Up until now I've been using Turbo Pascal 6.0, which scores an "A" on
- speed but an "E-" on the other two. Does anyone have any recommendations?
- (Especially the names of any "dedicated" editors, but anything will do).
-
- Thanks in advance,
