  11.     My 386-25 laptop is starting to get a bit dated.  Time to look for
  12. a new one.  I've figured out all the little things that I really want in 
  13. my replacement one but can not find anyone manufacturing one.  Maybe there
  14. is one but I can't find it.  With the possibility that someone else has 
  15. seen one (or there are some h/w manufacturers reading this list),  here's the
  16. specs I seem to be having problems with:
  17.     120+ MB SCSI disk drive, I should be able to upgrade it in a year 
  18.         or two (by opening the case, not "removable").
  19.     21MB Floptical disk drive.  Since these read 1.44 as well, I don't
  20.         understand why everyone isn't supporting them.
  21.     SCSI out on the back.
  22.     Must work with QEMM Stealth:M on all ROMs
  23.     Name brand replaceable BIOS.  (many laptops use surface mount).
  24.     2 COM ports with 16550 UARTs
  25.     Power management features can be set to automatically disable when AC
  26.          power supplied or I can run a program (w/o rebooting) to disable
  27.         them anytime.
  28.     External battery case that holds replaceable D cell nicads.
  29.     Some way to hook up a hand-held scanner and thin-net (at same time).
  30.     S/W to detect power source (AC, internal, ext battery).

  32. Of course I want a 486, bus mouse port, external KB port, SuperVGA out,
  33. 8+MB RAM, good keyboard, etc.  Things that would "nice to have" but that I
  34. can live without:
  35.     1024x768x256 video out.
  36.     SVGA on internal screen.
  37.     Detachable screen (maybe even one that plugs into VGA port?).
  38.     Color.
  39.     V.32bis internal modem
