  13. The recent BYTE magazine special issue on laptops mentioned several
  14. laptops with "scanner" external connection.

  16. Does anyone know what kind of scanners can be used with these machines?

  18. When I ask in the computer stores around here, all they know is that 
  19. the common hand scanners require a separate card in the PC; they can't 
  20. tell me if the laptop scanner port is compatible with e.g. the Logitech 
  21. ScanMan.
