  19. This is an idiotic rumor. No part in the 960 architecture will EVER
  20. replace the x86 line. Where did you hear such lunacy ?

  22. There are more x86-family projects in the works at Intel than
  23. you can shake a stick at. x86 will be the architecture of
  24. Intel's main processor line for years. Dr. Grove says so, and
  25. it also makes sense, so it's probably true.

  27. Now whether something else will replace the "P5" chip, and when that
  28. might happen, I can't say. But you can be sure it will execute
  29. the Intel486(tm) instruction set.
