- This is an idiotic rumor. No part in the 960 architecture will EVER
- replace the x86 line. Where did you hear such lunacy ?

- There are more x86-family projects in the works at Intel than
- you can shake a stick at. x86 will be the architecture of
- Intel's main processor line for years. Dr. Grove says so, and
- it also makes sense, so it's probably true.

- Now whether something else will replace the "P5" chip, and when that
- might happen, I can't say. But you can be sure it will execute
- the Intel486(tm) instruction set.
