- I posted a few weeks ago that I wanted an overdrive processor for my Compaq
- 486s/16m. This uses a 486 sx/16 chip. Many people said, "You can't do this,"
- including Compaq. They were wrong.
-
- I talked to Intel, and I need a 486 SX/20 overdrive procssor. This gives me a
- 486, 487, 8kb cache, and memory manager all running at a max of 40MHz
- internally, which will be 32Mhz in my machine. Instead of a new processor
- board from Compaq at $1500, I get the same thing for $349.
