  20. I have a Future Domain MCS-700 installed in a Model 80, where it is
  21. connected to a single hard drive. It can operate as SCSI-2, but the
  22. drive I am using is SCSI-1. It uses no driver, DMA channels nor interupts
  23. when operating under dos. Under OS/2 you need a special driver.

  25. I am pleased with this combination. It is reliable and, considering
  26. that this is a 16Mhz Model 80, it is quite fast: the adapter and disk
  27. combination typically can transfer about 1,000 kb/sec.

  29. Incidentally, I got both host adapter, drive and rel. hardware as
  30. a package from Perisol Technologies, who specialize in such
  31. upgrades for PS/2s.
