  12. For what it's worth, we solved the problem by distributing a whole bunch
  13. of packet drivers on every machine, then putting the load line for each
  14. card in the autoexec.bat and in a loaddrv.bat file we store in the same
  15. directory as the packet drivers.

  17. This is sufficient, considering that one needs not only the type of card
  18. installed but its settings.  Also, we cannot mark hard drives read only.
  19. In fact, their owners would be rather unhappy with us if we did that.
