- While the above response is correct, when the CMS drive rides on
- the back of one of your floppy drive's controller, its transfer
- speed is cut in half. CMS also sells separate controllers,
- FC-10 and TC-15 which run at twice the transfer speed of the floppy
- drive controller. The TC-15, furthermore, does compression in
- hardware (if the option to compress is chosen), further decreasing
- the tape transfer time.
